How do you apply a screen-printed transfer to textile?
Find all our tutorials and articles.
Screen print transfers are easy to apply using a heat press. To apply a screen print transfer, start by setting your heat press to the correct temperature: find out the recommended temperature and application time. Make sure the substrate is smooth by performing an initial pressure if necessary. Position the transfer in the desired location, optionally using heat-resistant tape to hold it in place. Protect your press with a Teflon sheet and press. Allow the textile to cool before gently removing the transfer. Compatible substrates include caps, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, etc. It is recommended to perform a test before starting a series. Peeling should be done when cold.
