What is UV DTF?
UV DTF (Ultra Violet Direct To Film) is a printing process that consists of printing a design on a film and then transferring it cold onto a surface.
Unlike traditional textile transfers, UV DTF transfer is designed for rigid surfaces:
- glass
- metal
- hard plastic
- ceramic
- varnished wood
The marking comes in the form of a ready-to-apply UV sticker. Simply apply it to the object, then remove the applicator film. No press, no heat drying: the ink polymerization is performed directly by UV LED during printing.
UV DTF stickers are particularly suitable for professionals who want to mark objects without investing in a complex workshop.

How to apply UV DTF - 3D PRO Sticker?
3D PRO Stickers are applied cold, without a press or heat, in just a few minutes. Follow these 7 steps:
- Clean the surface: degrease carefully with mild detergent or neutral alcohol. The surface must be smooth, rigid and perfectly dry.
- Remove the applicator: gently remove the applicator film (the transparent liner) leaving only the adhesive visual.
- Apply the transfer: immediately place the sticker with the printed side against the surface, at the desired location.
- Squeegee firmly: using a squeegee (felt or hard plastic), rub firmly from the center towards the edges to remove air and ensure maximum contact.
- Wait a few seconds: let the adhesive gain strength before removing the applicator.
- Remove the transparent film: slowly peel off the applicator: the sticker remains fixed to the surface with no residue.
- Stabilization phase: let rest for 48 hours before subjecting the object to stress (washing, rubbing, impacts)
Suitable surfaces: any smooth and non-porous material (glass, metal, hard plastic, ceramic, lacquered wood, etc.). Always perform a preliminary test to validate compatibility and resistance.

What's the difference with standard UV DTF?
3D PRO Stickers are based on an evolution of our UV DTF technology. They benefit from a new formulation varnish that enhances the 3D relief effect and improves thermal resistance during storage. The carrier film has also been optimized to facilitate application and reduce waiting time before applicator removal.
Are 3D PRO Stickers really UV DTF?
Yes. 3D PRO Stickers are UV DTF stickers, meaning transfers printed on film with LED UV curing, then cold-applied to rigid surfaces. This is an enhanced version of our UV DTF printing, with superior quality rendering and more pronounced relief.
What surfaces can a DTF UV sticker be applied to?
3D PRO stickers are designed for smooth, rigid, and non-porous surfaces: glass, metal, hard plastic, ceramic, varnished or lacquered wood.
They are not suitable for soft, textile, or porous surfaces. We always recommend a preliminary test to validate compatibility.
Can they be stored for a long time before application?
Yes. Storage stability has been improved compared to standard UV DTF.
For optimal preservation: store sheets flat, away from light and moisture, and ideally below 25°C. Avoid very hot environments (such as summer transport).
Is application really that simple?
Yes. UV DTF transfers are applied cold, without a heat press or specific equipment.
Simple substrate cleaning, vigorous burnishing, and careful removal of the application film are all that's needed. This simplicity makes it an ideal solution for workshops and professionals looking to save time.
Are 3D PRO Stickers suitable for outdoor use?
Resistance to temperature variations and natural UV is enhanced. However, long-term outdoor durability depends heavily on the substrate, exposure, and weather conditions. Field tests are underway, but 100% permanent outdoor durability is not yet guaranteed.
Are they dishwasher resistant?
As with any object marking, durability depends on the substrate and program used. DTF UV stickers can hold on certain compatible substrates, but we always recommend preliminary testing, especially for intensive use.
Can we print highly detailed logos?
Yes. UV DTF printing allows you to reproduce fine visuals, gradients and small text with excellent sharpness. 3D relief stickers maintain file precision while adding a premium effect thanks to transparent varnish.
Is the price of 3D PRO Stickers higher?
No. This is a technical upgrade to our UV DTF, but pricing remains unchanged. You benefit from product improvement with no impact on your budget.
Does print quality remain the same?
Absolutely. Contrast, color density, and detail precision are identical to our Sherpa Transfert UV DTF, with added pronounced relief and better stability.
An ideal solution for personalizing objects
UV DTF does not replace all techniques, but it perfectly meets a specific need: easily personalizing objects with quality results.
For many applications, UV DTF stickers today represent the best compromise between simplicity, aesthetics and productivity:

- ideal for small runs
- minimal technical handling
In typical indoor use, they offer very good resistance to moderate friction and daily handling. They also withstand reasonable temperature variations without marking deterioration. For more intensive constraints (prolonged outdoor use, immersion, frequent washing), preliminary testing is still recommended to validate compatibility with the object.
